If you haven’t been to Denver in the last 5 minutes, you have probably missed the latest group venue or amazing chef concept restaurant opening. Denver hotel options are expanding rapidly as well from creative, boutique offerings to the massive Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center. Operation Altitude has created a perfect tour for your guests to see Denver, sample some of the best restaurants, cafes and markets, while also getting a cultural and historic perspective of the town itself. These tours are led by long time Colorado residents whose passion is keeping up with the latest trends in the culinary scene.
Our most recent group enjoyed a trip around downtown with stops for group photos outside of the Broncos Stadium and Platte Park. Upon arriving at Union Station, guests were treated to a “meet and greet” by local celebrity chef, Alex Seidel – 2018 James Beard winner for Best Chef: Southwest (AZ, CO NM, OK, TX, UT).
Samples of cheeses from Fruition Farms, cured meats, homemade rillettes, pickles and preserves all sourced here in Colorado started the progressive meal. The following stops included wine and beer tasters paired with bites from three more local gems in the area and finishing on a sweet note, High Tea at The Brown Palace.
Each tour is customized specifically for your group, so no tour is the same!

Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center is scheduled to open in December 2018 with 1,500 guest rooms and over 485,000 square feet of meeting and convention space. Rustic alpine charm and exciting “open-air” activity make this Rocky Mountain Front Range retreat an adventure in itself.
Kimpton Hotel Born Denver is situated steps from Denver’s iconic Union Station and adjacent to the A-Line with direct light rail service from Denver International Airport. The hotel’s 199 rooms and 8,300 square feet of meeting space are absolutely stunning and luxurious in every tiny detail. While the name is a mouthful, the property is a fitting addition to this historic LoDo location.
The Maven Hotel at Dairy Block joins The Crawford and Oxford Hotels in the Sage Hospitality group of carefully crafted boutique properties. The newly opened Maven is part of the Dairy Block development featuring Chef Bonanno’s exciting new Denver Milk Market concept . With thoughtful design elements throughout, just walking into the lobby is an experience beginning with the 10-foot-long hand made of reclaimed wood and hanging above your head. To the left is a vintage Airstream trailer serving coffee, to go items and bar service in the evenings. Equally intriguing is the elegant Poka Lola Social Club just off the lobby and opening onto the quaint Dairy Block alleyway.
The Ramble Hotel just opened spring of 2018 in Denver’s RiNo (River North) Art District. Small, but mighty, this 50 room property includes a cozy outdoor courtyard perfect for a cocktail reception, on-property restaurant by Denver’s Work & Class and marquee lobby bar by Death & Co Denver, their first location outside New York’s East Village.
Le Meridien/AC Hotels Denver Downtown is an 18-story property featuring a rooftop bar with enviable views of the sun setting over the Rocky Mountains. The property’s joint 233-room AC Hotels by Marriott and the adjoining 272-room Starwood-branded Le Meridien Hotel combine two “personalities” into one convenient downtown Denver location.
